Road Closures & Notice to Stay off of Roads
PUBLIC NOTICE FOR FRIDAY, MAY 3, 2024 The recent rain and warmer temperatures have caused springlike conditions, creating havoc on our roads, and causing some roads to be soft and vulnerable to damages. We are requesting that residents and visitors DO NOT use heavy trucks or equipment. We also ask that all other regular vehicles drive with extreme care and caution.
We understand that this may cause temporary inconvenience and we apologize for any disruptions to your regular routes. Graders are not able to get onto many of your roads currently without causing more damage. Public works is closely monitoring conditions and will perform maintenance when able.
As a precautionary measure, the following roads are CLOSED, with access limited to Local Traffic Only: • Road 64 N from Highway #10 to Road 106 W
If any additional roads need to close as the day progresses it will be posted on our social media sites as well as www.elton.ca
