Thank You for Your Support and Engagement! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on Thursday, April 24th, for the Public Meeting to explore the potential development of a new Multi-Use Facility/Community Centre in the Village of Forrest. We were absolutely thrilled to welcome 29 community members in attendance! Your presence, thoughtful questions, honest feedback, and creative ideas truly energized the conversation and brought valuable perspectives to the table. It’s this kind of open and collaborative dialogue that strengthens our community and helps shape a shared vision for the future. As shared during the meeting, we are still at the very beginning of this journey — no plans have been finalized, and all ideas are welcome. Your interest and engagement at this early stage are deeply appreciated. It's clear that people care about the future of our municipality and are eager to be part of building something meaningful that serves residents of all ages and interests. For those who weren’t able to attend, we haven’t forgotten about you! A community-wide survey will be released soon, giving everyone a chance to contribute their voice. Whether you’re excited about the project, have concerns, or simply want more information, we encourage you to participate. Every perspective is important and will help guide future decisions. We are also inviting residents interested in joining a working group to help shape the next steps for this project. If you would like to have your name added to the list, please reach out to Shawna LeBlanc, CAO, at cao@elton.ca. Should there be an overwhelming response, please note that Council may need to narrow down the group to ensure balanced and manageable representation. This is only the beginning of the conversation — and we look forward to continuing it with all of you. Thank you once again for your time, your ideas, and your commitment to making the RM of Elton a vibrant, inclusive, and connected place to call home.
